A year ago today, I had “mudita” tattooed on the inside of my right wrist. It had been one month since I lost you. I was desperately clinging to the hope and promise of not feeling such deep grief and shock. It was a prayer that I would feel joy again.
Today, one year later, I used that same right hand to sign and mail the paperwork to request Madison’s Closet be officially recognized as a 501(c)(3). I feel joy and gratitude at the work we have done that made today possible. I feel very grateful that I have this word to remind me of the hope I had that day to feel this kind of unselfish, appreciative joy.
Love and miss you ALWAYS my sweet girl,
